Abu Dhabi Weather
With a blue sky all year round, high temperatures and weak chances of precipitations, the Abu Dhabi weather is labeled as a hot arid climate. The hot summer days chase visitors away or redirect them towards indoor entertainment, while the warm winters make the city enjoyable for outdoor activities.
November to February: Warm Abu Dhabi Weather
The period between November and February is considered to be the most suitable for travelling to the capital city of UAE. During this interval Abu Dhabi weather tends to be cooler, with minimum temperatures ranging between 14 and 19 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperatures vary between 24 to 30 degrees Celsius. This enables visitors to take advantage of the options for outdoor entertainment, including sightseeing, Dune dining and Desert safaris. Jackets, scarves and long sleeved clothing are recommended since the breeze can create the sensation of cold weather.
Furthermore, these months are the only ones in which precipitations may occur; hence the atmosphere is relatively humid during this time of year. The period is also characterized by periods with dense fog which may reduce visibility significantly and increase the sensation of cold.
Visitors who have not brought enough warm clothing or have been surprised by the Abu Dhabi weather can purchase autumn-winter items in the local shops. Furthermore, December comes with significant sales for the warm clothing, so take advantage if you are nearby.
Beach Friendly Abu Dhabi Weather
Whether you want to explore the water park from the Yas Island or enjoy one of the Abu Dhabi beaches, the months of October, March and April are the best for water sports and activities. The Abu Dhabi weather is hot, yet the temperatures do not rise more than 35 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature ranges between 17 degrees in March to 19 degrees in April and 23 in October. While these temperatures may be too high to walk around the city, they are perfect for a relaxing day on the beach or on the poolside.
Furthermore, during March and April the local flora takes advantage of the mild Abu Dhabi weather and creates great contrasts. The landscaping is extremely impressive this time of year, with colorful flowers and green trees adding a fresh touch to the surroundings.
From May to September: Hot Abu Dhabi Weather
May is the first month of summer in Abu Dhabi and the temperatures rise significantly, reaching 38 degrees Celsius. However the months of July, August and September are the most torrid, reaching 40 and sometimes even up to 50 degrees Celsius. The heat is unbearable for those unused with the Abu Dhabi weather, so tourists are scarce and those who venture in this capital city choose to spend most of their time indoors. The ultraviolet (UV) radiations are extremely dangerous during this period, so it is not recommended to expose the skin to the solar rays in order to protect it from sun burns and skin conditions.
Sandstorms are quite frequent during summertime, so Desert tours are relatively rare. The lack of precipitations, the hot Abu Dhabi weather and the dry wind facilitate their production. During these sandstorms, the visibility can be reduced to a few meters.
